POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AT PAKISTAN COMMUNITY CENTRE

We are pleased to inform you that at Pakistan Community Centre Derby we are complying with the set standards by the Government to run a Voluntary Sector organisations. This page will give you an idea about the type of Policies and Procedures we follow and how they are developed in the best interest of the service users and the institute itself.

All complaints are dealt with absolute honesty and according to regulations.

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

It is our intention to implement Health and Safety Policy throughout the centre, which includes:

  • Adequate control of Health and Safety risks, arising form work activities.
  • Consulting employees on the issues related to their health and their safety.
  • Provide information, instruction and supervision.
  • Providing appropriate resources to implement the policies, all staff is trained and competent to deal with the tasks.
  • Prevent accidents and cases of work related illness.
  • Maintain safe healthy working conditions.

The policy also covers Fire Safety Management, COSHH, Infection Control Policy, RIDDOR and Risk Assessment Policy. The premise is visited by Local Health inspectors to keep regular checks on our performance.

POLICY TO PREVENT HARASSMENT AND BULLYING:

The purpose of the policy is to promote a working environment in which harassment and bullying are clearly known to be unacceptable and individuals have the confidence to deal with such circumstances confidently.

SAFEGURADING ADULTS POLICY:

The aim of this policy is to outline the practice and procedures for paid and voluntary staff in PCC to contribute to the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults through raising awareness and providing a clear framework for action when abuse is suspected.

It is aimed at protecting the vulnerable adult and the worker, recognising the risks involved in lone working.

The policy covers all staff and areas of work with specific guidance for projects regularly in contact with vulnerable adults.
