We are very excited about the forthcoming modifications to our centre. We have recently lowered the Stage on one side of the Hall for convenience and Health and Safety of the public. There are plans to extend the hall and are carrying out some refurbishment of the building.
Our biggest achievement to date is that we have now got Home Office approval to include the centre as a place of worship and marriage ceremonies. We are now registered to perform civil marriages. The intended marriage couple need to register their intention to get married which will cost £35. This can be done in advance of a year but by no later than 29 days before the intended wedding date. The Registrar will be invited to attend the centre to perform the marriage. The cost of this at present will be £90.
You will no longer need to hold separate ceremonies to legalise your marriage as it can be done on the same date and under the same roof alongside the Nikhaa ceremony. The biggest advantage of this will be that you will be able invite a larger number people than if you go to the Register office where there is a limit in the number of guests for the Civil Service.
We are open every day Monday-Friday 9.00 to 4.00 p.m.
